Born in London, England, Kathrin grew up in Los Angeles, California. As a teenager she found an old acoustic guitar in her father’s clock shop and taught herself to play. What she also discovered along the way was a voice full of power and passion. Drawing influences from artists like The Indigo Girls, Ani DiFranco, Bonnie Raitt, Jeff Buckley and Patty Griffin, among others, Kathrin began crafting a sound she now calls “SoulFolk”.

THE WEEPIES is the musical project centered around award-winning songwriters Steve Tannen and Deb Talan. "Happiness," a folk-pop nugget of new original standards, is their most recent recording, featuring Signature Sounds artist Jim Henry on guitars, and Boston heavies Richard Gates on bass and Jeff Berlin on drums.
